Privacy policy

How we handle personal information when you visit this website or get in touch about a project.

For the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, Webuild is the data fiduciary for personal information collected through this website and through telephone or written enquiries.

What this policy covers

This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, how long we keep it, who we share it with and how you can ask us to correct or delete it. It applies to webuildtransit.com and to enquiries made using the telephone numbers published on this site.

It does not cover information we receive later under a formal appointment, confidentiality agreement, or statutory filing. Those engagements are governed by the relevant contract and applicable professional and regulatory requirements.

Information we collect

When you call +91 98222 24998 or +91 94227 08014, visit an office, or write to us, we typically record your name, organisation, role, telephone number, email address if you provide one, project location and a short description of the requirement. We do not currently operate a public contact form on this website.

The website itself records ordinary technical logs generated by our hosting provider: IP address, browser type, pages requested, referring URL and timestamps. These logs exist so the site can be delivered, secured and diagnosed when something fails.

We do not buy mailing lists, scrape third-party directories for marketing, or collect payment card details through this website.

Why we use it

We use enquiry details to understand the brief, route it to the right technical lead, arrange a call or site visit and keep a record of what was discussed. We use technical logs to keep the site available, to investigate abuse or faults and to understand which pages are being read.

We do not sell personal information, rent it, or share it with data brokers. We do not use enquiry details for automated decision-making that produces a legal or similarly significant effect.

Cookies and similar technology

The site uses cookies and similar storage that are required for it to function: session continuity, security and remembering essential preferences such as reduced-motion settings where the browser provides them. We do not currently run advertising pixels or third-party marketing tags.

A fuller description is on the Cookie policy page. If we introduce analytics or other non-essential tools later, that page will be updated before those tools go live.

Who we share information with

Personal information is available to Webuild directors and staff who need it to respond to an enquiry. It may also be processed by the infrastructure we use to run the company: website hosting, email, telephony and professional advisers such as auditors or lawyers, under confidentiality obligations.

We may disclose information if required by law, a court, or a competent public authority, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of Webuild, our clients, or the public.

Retention

Enquiry records are kept for as long as they are useful for the conversation and for a reasonable period afterwards — typically up to twenty-four months if no appointment follows — unless a longer period is required for legal, tax, or professional reasons. Server logs are retained according to our hosting provider’s standard rotation, generally no longer than ninety days unless a security investigation is open.

If an enquiry becomes a formal appointment, the relevant records move into the project file and are retained under that engagement.

Your rights

Subject to the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and other applicable law, you may ask us to confirm whether we hold personal information about you, to correct it, to erase it where we no longer have a lawful reason to keep it and to withdraw consent for any processing that relied on consent.

To make a request, call +91 98222 24998 or +91 94227 08014 or write to the registered office marked “Privacy request”. We will need enough information to identify you and the enquiry. We may refuse or limit a request where the law allows us to, for example where the information is required for an ongoing appointment, a legal claim, or a statutory record.

Grievance officer

Until a dedicated Grievance Officer email is published, privacy complaints may be addressed to the Directors, Webuild Transit Private Limited, at the registered office in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, or by telephone on +91 98222 24998 or +91 94227 08014. We aim to acknowledge complaints within seven working days and to respond substantively within a reasonable period.

Children

This website is intended for infrastructure owners, public agencies, developers, contractors and professional visitors. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have done so, please contact us and we will delete it.

Changes

We will update this page when our practices change. The date at the top of the page shows when the current draft was last revised. Continued use of the website after a change is posted means you have had notice of that change.
